This year we were pleased to be working with the Timber Decking Association(TDA), a technical and advisory organisation that sets the standard for decking materials and installation practices in the UK. The Association operates the DeckMark™ quality assurance scheme for decking material manufacturers and installers and keeps a register of suppliers that it has independently assessed.

The deck was supplied by Arbordeck and constructed by John Bailey Joinery, both members of the TDA. Quality counts at Chelsea and we are delighted to have their support on this project.

This years garden featured a furniture design icon in the form of the Egg Chair by Eero Aarnio 1966, supplied by Vita Interiors.
The chair is a "room within a room" with a cozy and calm atmosphere, protecting outside noises and giving a private space for relaxing or having a phone call. Turning around its own axis on the base the view to the outer space is variable for the user and thus he is not completely excluded from world outside.

RHS Hampton Court Flower Show (2006)
Acorn Garden Design designed one of the five "Conceptual" gardens at the 2006 RHS Hampton Court Flower Show.

Entitled, "The Danger of Need", the garden used the story of Adam and Eve as a motif to explore issues of expulsion and voyeurism.

Design director Wayne Richards said, "this garden was a unique experience for visitors to the show, we blended art, science, technology and nature to create an interactive piece that was entertaining both visually and intellectually".
